In Constantinople, a bomb intended
for Sultán 'Abdu'l-Ḥamíd as he returned from the mosque on Friday,
killed and injured a number of people. This event prompted the
authorities to recall all the members of the Commission. Some months
later the "Young Turk" revolutionaries demanded the release of all
political and religious prisoners. 'Abdu'l-Bahá was free by the summer.
