Traditionally, a fourth generation descendant of Noah, whose people 'inhabited a large tract of country in Southern Arabia . . . His people, who are said to be of a tall race, were idolaters and aggressive people . . . God chose Húd to be a prophet to the people of 'Ad.'9 The majority of the people of 'Ad rejected the teachings of Húd and they were destroyed by a calamity. |
