| A girl from a village near Zanján who disguised herself as a man to join the besieged Bábís, lead by Ḥujjat, in the fort at Zanján. She showed such audacity and courage that the enemy were routed before her. Ḥujjat recognized her but was persuaded not to reveal her secret. He gave her the name Rustam-'Alí. For some five months she remained as one of the defenders of the fort until at last she was killed defending the barricades. |
