Tablet by Bahá'u'lláh revealed in honour of Ḥájí Muḥammad Ismá'il-i-Kás̲h̲ání and addressed to 'Alí Pás̲h̲á, the Grand Visier of Turkey. Bahá'u'lláh rebukes 'Alí Pás̲h̲á and bids him hearken to the voice of God. He affirms that the tribulations and sufferings inflicted upon the believers will act as oil for the lamp of the Cause of God and add to its radiance and glory. |

From the moment it was revealed, He writes, "until the present day, neither hath the world been tranquillized, nor have the hearts of its people been at rest...." (WOB).
