Also known as Áqá Najafí, ‘The Son of the Wolf'. Like his father, S̲h̲ayk̲h̲ Muḥammad-Báqir, he was a notorious divine and an enemy of the Bahá'í Faith who brought about the persecution and martyrdom of Bahá'ís. Bahá'u'lláh addressed his last book, Epistle to the Son of the Wolf, to S̲h̲ayk̲h̲ Muḥammad-Taqí. He died in 1914.

Son of the Wolf—i.e. S̲h̲ayk̲h̲ Muḥammad-Taqíy-i-Najafí. Bahá'u'lláh's "Epistle to the Son of the Wolf" was His "last outstanding Tablet," practically terminating His "prodigious achievement as author of a hundred volumes..." ‘GPB 201; 219, 220).
