A master mason who came to the Holy Land from Baku, Ádhirbáyján before the passing of Bahá'u'lláh. He had original responsibility, under the supervision of 'Abdu'l-Bahá, for the construction of the Shrine of the Báb, and two doors of the Shrine are named for his two sons, 'Alí-As̲h̲raf and Aqá Bálá. Abú-Tálib originally bought the area of the As̲h̲raf Garden and gave the property to his son 'Alí-As̲h̲raf who later donated it to the Faith.8 |
