Occurrences and events for which there is no apparent scientific explanation and which may indicate the intervention of God. |
Bahá'ís do not deny the possibility of miracles occurring but believe that they are valuable proofs of the Manifestation of God only for those who witness them. What is more important is the inner significance of the miracle, its spiritual meaning. ‘Abdu'l-Bahá states that Bahá'u'lláh performed numerous miracles and supernatural acts32 and that all the Manifestations are able to perform them.33 For Bahá'ís, however, the greatest miracle of the Manifestation is that He changes the hearts of people and creates a new civilization merely through the influence of His word. |
