‘Abdu'l-Bahá has revealed, ‘In this Most Great Dispensation Thou dost accept the intercession of children in behalf of their parents. This is one of the infinite bestowals of this Dispensation.‘8 ‘The wealth of the other world is nearness to God. Consequently it is certain that those who are near the Divine Court are allowed to intercede, and this intercession is approved by God. But intercession in the other world is not like intercession in this world; it is another thing, another reality, which cannot be expressed in words.'9 ‘The progress of man's spirit in the divine world. . . is through the bounty and grace of the Lord alone, or through the intercession and the sincere prayers of other human souls, or through the charities and important good works which are performed in its name.'10 |
