| Name of the father of Moses and Aaron, and also of the Virgin Mary. Her mother's name was Hannah—Anna or Anne. The commentators state that Mary was called sister of Aaron (Qur'an 19:29) because she was of the Levitical race. (See Qur'án 3:31). |
