In His Writings revealed in Arabic, the Báb divided the years following the date of His revelation into cycles of nineteen years each. The names of the years in each cycle are:

12	Javáb	ja-vob	Answer
13	Aḥad	a-had	Single
14	Vahháb	va-hob	Bountiful
15	Vidád	veh-dodd	Affection
16	Badí	bad-ee	Beginning
17	Bahí	Ba-hee	Luminous
18	Abhá	Ab-há	Most Luminous
19	Váḥid	vaw-head	Unity

Each year has a name and each cycle of 19 years is called a Váḥid (#3). Nineteen cycles constitute a period called a 'Kull-i-S̲h̲ay''.
