|
A national organization created in Chicago in March 1909 at a convention of thirty-nine delegates representing thirty-six cities called in pursuance of instructions received from ‘Abdu'l- Bahá. The Bahá'í Temple Unity was incorporated as a religious corporation in the state of Illinois and was invested with full authority to hold title to the property of the Temple and to provide ways and means for its construction. This national body was superseded in 1925 by the National Spiritual Assembly of the United States and Canada. |
