| In the United States, a special event day observed on the third Sunday in January. World Religion Day was begun in 1950 to associate the term 'world religion' with the Bahá'í Faith as well as to proclaim the Faith and to stress the theme that religion is the basis of unity and that world religion is the basis of world unity. |
