The resting place of Bahá'u'lláh's
mortal remains. On the day of Bahá'u'lláh's
ascension, 29 May 1892, He was laid to rest beneath the floor of a room in the house
adjacent to the Mansion of Bahjí. The Shrine of Bahá'u'lláh is the holiest spot on earth to Bahá'ís,
a place of pilgrimage and the Qiblih of the Bahá'í
Faith.
