Generally, beautiful and elegant penmanship; specifically, the drawing-like renderings of Arabic and Persian words, phrases or text. Many of the writings of Bahá'u'lláh and the Báb were executed in fine calligraphy. The best-known Bahá'í calligrapher was Mis̲h̲kín-Qalam, whose calligraphy of the Greatest Name is widely used among Bahá'ís as a symbol of their Faith.
